Bringing Extra Help’s Compassionate Home-Help Services to Beverley, Yorkshire

We are delighted to introduce our newest franchisee, Zoe Doyle, who recently joined Extra Help to launch her home-help franchise in Beverley, near Hull in Yorkshire.

Extra Help Beverley covers the following areas:

 A New Chapter Begins

Extra Help Beverley officially launches on 1st September 2025, but Zoe’s journey began back in March when she first discovered Extra Help online and began to explore the opportunity. Drawn to our values, she immediately knew this was the right path for her.

“I could instantly see there was a gap in the market for Extra Help’s services,” she says. “They’re more affordable than full care services and ideal for people who are living independently and need a bit of assistance in and around the home, but not personal care,” she says.

Meet Zoe

Zoe lives in Beverley with her two teenage children and miniature Dachshund, Buster. A busy, working mum who thrives on leading a full, active life, she is also a keen lover of the outdoors, sports, travel, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

With a strong background in teaching and a passion for helping others, Zoe is already making a meaningful impact on her local community. Widowed in 2019, her life experiences have shaped her empathetic, person-centred approach.

“That experience taught me to seize the day and make the most of life and opportunities,” she says.

From Teaching to Home Help

Zoe brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her new venture. She has spent most of her career supporting young people and adults with maths and numeracy skills and continues to teach part-time while building her home-help franchise.

After studying for a counselling qualification during the COVID-19 pandemic, Zoe gained a deeper understanding of how to support clients from diverse backgrounds. These skills will prove invaluable as she begins to offer Extra Help’s home-help services, which will be tailored to individual needs.

Why Extra Help?

Zoe’s decision to join Extra Help was driven by a long-standing desire to become her own boss and pursue a new challenge. With her children now older, she’s ready to channel her energy into something different but equally rewarding.

“I love helping people and have had a broad range of experience in doing so,” she says. “Helping my grandparents, when they were alive, showed me just how much of a difference it makes to someone’s life when you support them with everyday tasks. Communication and companionship are so important too – the clients I have already spoken to often say how much they enjoy just having someone to chat to.”

  • Shopping assistance or doing shopping on behalf of clients

  • Spring cleans and end-of-tenancy cleans

All Zoe’s home-helpers are DBS and reference checked, and she is proud to confirm that she and her team are all Dementia Friends.
