Welcome to Extra-Help^® Leeds North providing help to everyone. My name is Julia and I am passionate about assisting our elderly community. I recognise the importance of enabling people to remain independent in their own homes. Extra-Help^® can offer such help which might include providing support with housekeeping, shopping, gardening, maybe small DIY and companionship.  

I am proud to be able to extend the offer of Extra Help® to everyone in our community alongside the elderly, perhaps persons living alone, parents looking for a helping hand, working professionals, anyone needs a helping hand on a regular ad hoc or those of all ages needing support with cleaning, care or housekeeping on a short-term basis. 

I have been a childminder for the last 10 years caring for children in my own home. I have studied continually recently achieving a Foundation Degree in Child and Family studies. I am now working hard to extending this to a BA providing me a much greater understanding of family life, our community and how professionals can work together to support all. In addition, I have other qualifications with Children and Young People and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. I always put myself in other people’s shoes and consider how it might feel from their point of view, I listen, remain calm and empathise when needed. My children are very important to me and in my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, walking, cookery, travelling, studying and reading. 

For your peace of mind, Extra Help^® is fully insured and our home helpers are personally interviewed, hold a current DBS and are reference-checked.  A consistent and caring service is essential to establish good relationships with clients.

• Domestic chores, general tidy, laundry and ironing 
• Spring cleaning or deep cleaning including holiday lets and rentals 
• Meal preparation – including breakfast calls 
• Companionship
