Exciting Times Ahead For Extra Help | And July is going to be super busy .

Summer is upon us, we’ve had the longest day of the year and are heading into the holidays. Living in Devon, this is a busy time for the tourist trade and it’s a busy time for Extra Help too …

July is going to be super busy at Extra Help. I’m really looking forward to the challenges!

We have two new franchisees to train in July, which is very exciting. We will soon be up and running in the south of Manchester and also in Stevenage. Once our lovely new franchisees have been trained we’ll introduce them to you.

“We also have a new person in the office, Naomi Shearer!”

Naomi has come on board to help out in head office, alongside Louise and myself. Naomi is also going to be looking after the AFA (The Approved Franchise Association). The AFA was set up in 2012 by Craig Brittain and I’ve recently taken over the reign as CEO.

I’m really excited about this new challenge, the AFA fits very nicely with Extra Help and EWiF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) which we are also members of.

We’ve worked really hard on our branding and marketing recently and we totally believe in being transparent and ethical as a franchise. We like to think of ourselves as leading the way in home help franchising, offering all the help and support our franchisees need to be successful.

We’ve made mistakes in the past – which we freely admit to – but as long as you learn from those mistakes then they are not failure, only feedback.

In the next few weeks I’ll tell you more about the AFA and the work we’ll be doing so it’s guaranteed to keep us on our toes as we follow the guidelines we set for others. Have a look at www.theafa.org.uk for more details.

“The first EWiF South West meeting will happen in July!”

On 16th July Louise and I will host the meeting in Bristol. It’s aimed at franchisors, franchisees, banks, consultants, accountants, solicitors, media providers, exhibition organisers and other franchise associated businesses.

For more details of this and other regional meetings, have a look at the EWiF website or email me for more details about Extra Help or my new role with the AFA.

Wishing you all some sunshine for July.

Until next time …

CLAIRE ROBINSON
