Feast Or Famine | Let the banquet begin …

May was a really busy month for Extra Help – it’s been a bit feast or famine for us recently. We last trained a franchisee in June 2012. In the second part of the year I had major personal issues – losing both my parents within six weeks of each other really took its toll …

hard work and perseverance really do pay off

In January, Sarah and I sat back and said, “what’s wrong, why is there no interest in our franchise?” The answer was simple – we weren’t advertising anywhere! Not rocket science, I know, but most of our franchisees up until that point had come to us through word of mouth, from our website or finding the service for a relative and literally buying into the idea. It wasn’t until things dried up that it made us look at what we were doing.

Action needed to be taken, so we did some research into online advertising which specialised in franchising and placed an advert. We still had our blogs visible, although we’d taken a short break from that for a while. Our website was there and we had our social media in place. It taught us to review our marketing on a regular basis, test and measure to see what works and what doesn’t.

As I mentioned at the beginning, it was feast or famine. We then went on to train three new franchisees in May and took on a Manager for the Plymouth franchise. We also have lots more hot leads to chase up for the next few months training sessions.

Extra Help is now growing rapidly and it’s very exciting. It’s shown me that hard work, perseverance and belief in what you do does pay off in the end. To see which areas we now cover log onto our website.
