Two important award nominations for Extra Help

If you’re considering buying a franchise, it always helps to know that the franchisor, the person who originally came up with the concept and business model you’re buying into, is considered award-worthy. It proves your franchisor is successful in his / her own right and has built a scalable, industry-recognised franchise network, giving you peace of mind that you’re making the right choice.

This week, we have some really exciting news to share! Extra Help has been shortlisted as a finalist in the British Franchise Association Awards. This is one of the principle and most prestigious events for franchisors and franchisees, and is known as ‘the Oscars’ of the franchising industry!

The Awards provide an exceptional opportunity to raise Extra Help’s profile across the industry, showcasing our managing director, Claire Robinson’s, dedication to and ongoing passion for the business. Extra Help has been shortlisted for the ‘Franchisor of the Year – Lifestyle Award’ and the winner will be announced at the Awards Event on 9th November, which Claire will be attending, so we hope she wins!

And, if this isn’t enough to make you think “Wow! I want to work with Claire and be part of her success story!!!”, we have also just learned that Claire has been shortlisted as a finalist for the The Great British Businesswoman Awards.

The Great British Businesswoman Awards recognise, celebrate, and support women in business, highlighting their achievements and contributions while fostering the next generation of female business leaders.

Claire has been shortlisted for the Entrepreneurial Business Woman Award. According to the Rose Review, only one-in-three entrepreneurs are female and up to £250 billion could be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled businesses at the same rate as men. The winner of this award will be an inspiring, female entrepreneur who can prove she has broken the mould and grown her business successfully. She will have provided clear evidence of leadership and entrepreneurial growth within her business and be able to show how they were achieved.

As many of you will know, Claire has been a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur for many years now. Since the founding of her publishing company, to establishing Extra Help, a national home-help and domestic cleaning franchise network with 37 franchises across the country, Claire’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping others have always been an inspiration to her staff and franchisees.

Making the shortlist is a remarkable achievement in itself, and we’re looking forward to finding out if our managing director has won! The results will be announced at a grand Awards Evening on 22nd November in London and, in the meantime, we’re keeping everything crossed for Claire.

If you’re looking to invest in an industry-recognised franchise, with a proven business model and all the support you need to grow a thriving business, Extra Help could be the right choice for you!

We were also very proud to win the Local Chamber Awards in 2021 for entrepreneurship, we went on to win the Regional finals and eventually became the National winners of the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
