A very kind testimonial we received recently from one of our clients in South East Cornwall covered by our Plymouth franchise.
Danny was one of our first clients, I had a call from Pete – Danny’s Son – saying his Dad had early onset dementia and lived in sheltered accommodation, but really needed some Extra Help. The family did all they could for Danny but having their own families and with Pete travelling a lot with work, it wasn’t easy. At the initial interview with them you could see how strong the Father/Son bond was between them both.
Danny wanted some cleaning, ironing and the occasional shopping trip. I soon got to work matching Danny with his home helper – a lovely retired teacher called Maureen. Maureen and Danny hit it off immediately and I knew I’d made the right choice. Maureen continued to help Danny each week until unfortunately he could no longer cope with living on his own and had to go into residential care.
Danny is just one of the clients we’ve helped at the Plymouth franchise. It’s stories like these which make it all worthwhile and give Sarah and I the passion to keep spreading the word and growing the franchise. In the end we will have the whole country covered by caring franchisees and their home helpers.
