At Extra Help, we know our success as a national, home-help franchise network is largely due to the incredible people who live and breathe our values every single day – our hardworking franchisees and their compassionate home-helpers. To recognise their efforts and commitment, we launched a brand-new initiative in 2026: Franchisee of the Month and Home-Helper of the Month.
Each month, we celebrate those who go above and beyond to support clients and grow our brand. Every winning home-helper receives a personal card and box of chocolates from Head Office, while our outstanding franchisees are treated to a luxurious Temple Spa gift and a handwritten note of thanks from us for their huge contributions.
Home-Helper of the Month Awards
Our home-helpers are the heart of Extra Help, improving day-to-day lives and providing essential support to those who need it most. Here are our first three inspiring winners of 2026:
January – Linda (NW Leicestershire)
Nominated by Sam Bee, owner of Extra Help NW Leicestershire, Linda embodies reliability, dedication and kindness. Despite living outside the area, she regularly steps in to help out at short notice, even during last January’s heavy snow, often travelling from one end of the territory to the other! Whether she’s covering for sick colleagues or working late to ensure she fits in every client visit, Linda always makes sure no one is let down. All of her clients adore her friendly, thoughtful nature and meticulous approach to every task. At 72 years old, and a retired midwife, Linda proves that compassion and energy truly have no age limit.
February – Karen (Huntingdonshire)
Nominated by Caroline, our franchisee at Extra Help Huntingdonshire, Karen is known for her warmth and empathy, and her clients see her as a trusted friend as well as their home-helper. She supports four elderly clients, going above and beyond with thoughtful touches such as remembering birthdays, listening attentively, and keeping Caroline continually updated. Her attentiveness ensures clients receive the best service possible, and we’re delighted to celebrate her dedication.
March – Donna (North Devon)
Nominated by Sam of Extra Help North and Mid Devon, Donna’s courage and quick thinking may have even saved a life. When she received a concerning message from a client at 6:30am, she acted immediately, contacting emergency services and driving 30 minutes to reach the client’s home. She stayed with the client until help arrived, then rearranged her day to ensure that all but one of her other clients still received a visit. Donna’s compassion, professionalism and commitment to her role sets an extraordinary example of what it means to be a caring and compassionate Extra Help home-helper.
Franchisee of the Month Awards
Our franchisees set exemplary examples within their communities, growing their successful home-help franchises while always ensuring that clients and home-helpers feel supported and valued. The first three winners of 2026 are fantastic examples of what can be achieved through drive and determination:
January – Zoe (Beverley)
Since launching Extra Help Beverley in September, Zoe has shown unstoppable momentum. In December, she took on an incredible 65 extra hours of work and has quickly grown her client base. Balancing teaching with running her new franchise, she’s now preparing to go full-time with Extra Help, which is a reflection of both her success and confidence in our award-winning* business model.
February – Katy (North Somerset)
Katy joined our family to launch Extra Help North Somerset in October 2024 and has made remarkable progress. In January, she grew her hours by 183 after taking on a new client with highly complex needs. Her ability to build a strong team and adapt quickly shows genuine leadership skills. Katy currently manages her home-help franchise alongside working at a local zoo, and is a shining example of how our franchisees can grow their businesses, even while balancing other work commitments.
March – Lulu (Plymouth)
A true Extra Help veteran, Lulu of Extra Help Plymouth & Saltash has been running her franchise for ten years now, and she’s still thriving and growing. After recently joining a local networking group, her referrals skyrocketed, helping her grow by an impressive 191 hours in February. Lulu’s enthusiasm, experience and community connections make her a fantastic ambassador for the Extra Help brand.
