October 2010 saw the launch of Extra Help, a new service created to help elderly people maintain their independence. Extra Help originated in Milton Keynes and has seen the service spread to Plymouth, South East Cornwall and Essex
we match home helpers to individuals to ensure a good relationship develops
Extra-Help was set up by myself, Claire Robinson, and my friend/business partner Sarah Jackson and was established to help elderly people with day to day tasks such as shopping, meal preparation and cleaning to enable them to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.
As a society, we are facing the problems of an aging population while at the same time people are working longer hours and living further apart from their relatives. Extra-Help has been created to allow elderly people to continue living independently in their own homes and provides their families with peace of mind that their parents and grandparents are receiving the help and support they need.
All Extra-Help home helpers are personally interviewed fully referenced and DBS checked to ensure peace of mind for clients and their relatives. Extra-Help also ensures that it matches home helpers to individuals to ensure that a good relationship develops.
Services undertaken by Extra-Help include:
