Happy New Year!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break and are looking forward to 2023 as much as we are.

Unfortunately, 2022 presented many challenges for most businesses, with many of us still struggling to return to normal, post-pandemic. Despite this, Extra Help continued to flourish and celebrated several successes across the network.

Our franchise network grew bigger

With the launch of several new franchises in 2022, including Extra Help Newcastle-under-Lyme, Leeds North, East Herts & Epping, Hackney & Islington, we’re now bringing Extra Help’s valuable services to even more areas of the country.

As well as launching new franchises, two of our existing franchises changed hands. Carol and Richard Waterhouse, owners of Extra Help Cheshire East, made the decision to retire at the end of 2021, after five years with Extra Help. The business was taken over by one of their home-helpers, Marie Porter, and renamed Extra Help Macclesfield.

Extra Help Wolverhampton also became available for sale and was bought by Greg Yates.

We attended The Franchise Show

Extra Help attended The Franchise Show in April, held at ExCel in London, where we met several potential new franchisees and received lots of new enquiries.

We held our Annual Conference in Bristol

This year’s conference saw a fantastic turnout, with most of Extra Help’s franchisees in attendance.

The Annual Conference is the highlight of the Extra Help calendar for franchisees as it enables them to get to know the Head Office team; meet up with their peers; build meaningful, working relationships and share tips and advice to grow their businesses. We enjoyed two highly productive days and the feedback we received from our franchisees suggested they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

During the conference, we also presented our Annual Franchisee Awards and would like to congratulate all of our winners, who we’re immensely proud of!

We won two awards at the BFA Franchise Conference

We were absolutely thrilled to win two awards at the Best Franchise Awards, presented at the BFA Franchise Conference in November. Extra Help won a 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction Award, and another for Continuous Improvement, positioning us as an outstanding franchisor.

These awards are particularly important to Extra Help, as they’re judged solely based on feedback from our franchisees via an online satisfaction survey. They prove we’re serious about providing the very best support to our franchisees and helping them to grow their own successful businesses.

We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and wish you a happy, healthy and successful New Year.

Until next time,

Claire Robinson
